Sophomore actor wishes credit for all student directors

I was recently disappointed with your January article regarding the Winter One Acts for being misleading and failing to give credit where credit was due.

By only referencing junior student Ben McKone as a student director for the One Act, “The Yellow Wallpaper,” the author left out the other two student directors for the other one-acts: “The Lottery” and “All Summer In A Day,” student directed by Leah Seal-Gray and Ryan McCanna, respectively.  These three student directors worked very hard this season to bring these shows to life with their classmates and peers, and all deserve recognition for their efforts.

Thank you for your continued coverage of the theater program at SLPHS, and I look forward to reading the follow-up article regarding SLPHS participating in the State Winter One Act Competition.

Thank you for your time,

Connor Williams, sophomore
