Dear Echo Staff,
On behalf of the Gender Sexuality Alliance (GSA), I want to thank your staff for publishing such sensitive, informative and thought-provoking articles about gender identity and the new all-gender bathrooms in yesterday’s issue.

As I read the relevant articles, I couldn’t help but think of all the transgender and gender nonconforming freshmen who will also read this issue. They are only three weeks into their high school career and you’ve already made it clear that, as a whole, our school accepts them for who they are and cares about making the school safer for them.

Thank you again for your professionalism and care in covering these important issues, it means a lot to each of us!
