What brought you back to Park?

“I have always looked for a job at SLP, I was born and raised here and always wanted to come back and give to the students what I got from the teachers here.”

Are there many differences in the school since you graduated?

“It has a fairly similar atmosphere, a little more diverse, but it’s always been a district that’s been fairly diverse”

Are you working with any teachers that taught you?

“Absolutely, Wachutka was my baseball coach, Mrs. Herbert was my senior year advanced English teacher, Redmond I’ve kept in touch with for the past 16 years, Korst I had in 10th grade.”

What activities were you involved with as a student?

“I worked with community service, I was a 3 year letter winner of football, a 4 year letter winner of baseball, and a captain of both. I was also very involved with the radio station KDXL.”

Is it weird to return to Park as a teacher?

“At times it feels strange, at the same time, it has a home feeling to it. Just walking in and seeing all the familiar faces made it feel like home. There are a lot of people here wanting to make sure you do a good job.”
