Elliot Schochet, a life-long packers fan

“I always say that football’s my first religion, and the Packers are just the sect I’m a part of. That’s the family and culture I’ve been raised in,” said Freshman Elliot Schochet.

According to Schochet, his greatest passion is sports- football in particular- and he’s grown up in a family of passionate fans.

“The family I was raised in is a very driven family. They lived in Green Bay so we are huge Packers fans. My mom’s neighbor across the street growing up was the Packers quarterback and the MVP of Super Bowl I and II. You’re kind of born into it”

While he often faces adversity around fans in Minnesota, Schochet said he’s always willing to jump in and offer his opinion and expertise. He said nothing stops him from his love of the Packers.

“I’m lucky enough to have a better team than both the teams that surround me so people can’t poke much fun,” Schochet said.
