Preparations began recently for this year’s volleyball season, with players hoping for a fresh start.

Michelle Fuller, the new high school volleyball coach, expressed excitement to work with the athletes.

“With my first year I want to bring passion and excitement to the game,” Fuller said.

Junior Mackenzie Evenson said she believes the addition of Coach Fuller to the team will be a positive change and will ultimately help them achieve more victories in the upcoming season.

“[Fuller] pushes us, but not to the point where we aren’t comfortable,”  Evenson said.

Also, the team will be a part of a different conference this coming season, which will give them the opportunity to face different schools.

“Taking part in a new conference will raise the bar higher than in past years,” Evenson said.

Fuller plans on improving last year’s 4-18 season record by using strategies to throw off competitors.

“Using offense that is uncommon and improving ball control will put us ahead this season,” Fuller said.

Coach Fuller is looking forward to an excited staff to rejuvenate the team and inspire them to create a season to be proud of.
