New conference increases losses in games

With a season record of 8-8, the boys’ baseball team looks ahead to the last four games of the season to prepare for playoffs, according to coach Danny Bissonette.

“This season is different because we switched to a conference that has three of the top 10 teams in the state,” Bissonette said. “I think because our conference is so good, it will help us this year in the long run.”

Junior Conor Klaers said even though the team does not have the best luck with winning games this season, he hopes it will improve before playoffs.

“The season has had its ups and downs but we have a group of senior leadership on the team,” Klaers said. “We’re heading in the right direction going into the playoffs and that’s our biggest focus.”

Klaer said playing in a new conference greatly impacted the team because it helped make the players more prepared for future games.

“It’s been helpful because we have a strong conference,” Klaers said.  “We get to play against a lot of the best teams in the state and I think that helps us get better.”

Sections takes place May 21. Time and place to be determined.
