The ultimate frisbee team is in offseason prep mode. They scrimmaged Robbinsdale Cooper in October and lost to them, 15 to three. They are attempting to get their new players experience before winter comes.

Charlie Landis, their longtime coach said he is hopeful about teaching the rookies.

“Our new guys showed promise and our new captains showed a lot of grit,” Landis said. “We are replacing a lot of good players from last year, so the returners need to step up and take a leadership role” Landis said.

Assistant captain, sophomore Duncan Macklem-Johnson will be playing for his second season this year.

“I think the team will do well if we put in the work, but have lost a significant amount of dedicated players so it will most likely be a year to rebuild and teach new comers to love the game and gain the dedication we lost,” Macklem-Johnson said.

They are hoping to play in an indoor tournament in January.
