The girls season went really well according to Sophomore Marcie James.

“This was the first year in a while that we’ve had a really solid and competitive team,” James said.

The girls team met their goals and strived to score as high as possible to place in conference, which they did. They placed second overall.

“Individually, I would say I had a pretty good season. I recently just broke 15:30 which was a super big accomplishment for myself and a goal I’ve been trying to reach,” James said.

The success of the girls’ team was high and with the young team it will continue and become stronger in years to come.

For the boys’ team the dynamic was different, many were injured and people quit the team according to sophomore Jack Elias.

“For me, the season went well, I beat my personal record and I usually placed third or fourth on the team, depending on the race.”

Both teams have had success in conference with the girls’ placing second and the boys’ placing fourth. Sections is Wednesday, October 22, facing a hard section with some of the best teams in the nation.
