Seniors Drew Davidson and Noah Fracassi celebrate the beginning of Sno Daze week at the pep fest Thursday, Feb. 16. The Sno Daze dance is Saturday, Feb. 25.

In an attempt to stray from the traditional winter wonderland theme, Student Council planned the annual Sno Daze dance with another idea in mind.

According to Student Council president senior Megan Aune, those attending Sno Daze this year can look forward to unique decorations.

“(The theme) is a really fluffy, teenage dream scene,” Aune said. “It’s just a fun little bright dance (with) cute little decorations and (a) candy land (feel).”

Junior Joe Holloway, the DJ for Park dances, said each dance offers a new opportunity to showcase updated playlists.

“To me, almost every dance is a little bit different from every other one,” Holloway said. “This one I (want) to put in more pop songs if I can.”

Aune said the dance will feature a polaroid photo booth for students to use throughout the night.

“Our polaroid photo booth has been a big hit at our last dances,” Aune said. “It’s always fun to have that little memory to take with you.”

Holloway said his DJ’ing experience extends beyond school dances.

“Outside of school I produce music, make beats (and) take lessons in production,” Holloway said.

Junior Chava Buchbinder said she’s excited for Sno Daze and encourages students to buy tickets.

“I can’t wait for the DJ and to see all of my friends dressed up at the dance,” she said.

According to Aune, Student Council sells tickets during the school week up until the day of the dance.

“Tickets are $20 all week and we’re selling them at all three lunches in the hallway by the bathroom,” Aune said.

Those attending the dance must arrive at the high school at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 25. All attendees must ride buses to the venue.
