85 days after the Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi announced an official impeachment inquiry, the full House has voted to impeach President Donald Trump for both articles of impeachment. The House passed Article 1 230–197 for abuse of power. Article 2 passed 229–198 for obstruction of Congress.
The impeachment inquiry will now move into the Senate to determine if Trump is guilty of the crimes the House has charged him with. The Senate vote will need a two-thirds majority for Trump to be removed from office.
