Park football honored their seniors and defeated Bloomington Jefferson High School with a final score of 28-7, improving their record to 4-4.

After a victorious Senior Night football game, the team is ready to improve for the remainder of the season, according to running back coach Arsenio Richardson.

“We achieved our goal of winning on Senior Night, this gave us some extra motivation for working hard the rest of the season,” Richardson said. 

Senior and captain Tobyous Davenport Jr. feels the win made him connect with the team after an injury. 

“I was happy watching them work so hard,” Davenport Jr. said. “ I can’t play right now but looking at my team, I feel like I’m playing and their skills make me so proud.”

According to senior Sajid Nathim, the team has now been provided with help to improve due to the victory. 

“It went pretty (well) but we could be doing better, this game only helped us realize our full potential,” Nathim said. 

Richardson plans on striving to improve during the last couple practices.

“During practice we plan on pushing harder than we have before, improving our game,” Richardson said. 

According to Davenport Jr., he is looking forward to the rest of the season and what the team has to offer.

“I’m sad I cant play but I know that they will all work to the best of their potential and I’m excited to see what comes next,” Davenport Jr. said.The next Park football game is a Sections games, which will take place Oct. 22.
