Boys’ lacrosse breaks Shattuck St. Mary’s winning streak
In a close match, Park wins against the previously undefeated Shattuck St. Mary’s 14-12.
Head coach Kevin Reed said it was a great game and everyone worked together.
“I am very happy with this win. It was nice to finally be number one again,” Reed said. “But nothing really counts until playoffs. That is when we need to be ready to prove we are the best team in the league.”
Junior Carlos Siguenza said he thought it was their best game all season and looks forward to playing Shattuck St. Mary’s in the playoffs.
“It was amazing to see all the positions work well together. Our goalie (senior William Harkema) was on fire, the defense made good plays and the offense scored goals,” said Siguenza.
The team faces the Hudson, Wis Raiders at 6 p.m. May 15 at River Crest Elementary School.
