Who was most influential in your high school athletics?
Coach Chris Nordstrom helped everyone get through tough workouts. Kelly Brown is a huge inspiration and role model for the cross country team. Chris Watkins is one of the reasons I started running in elementary school and made fitness enjoyable. And last but not least is Rachel Hoffman who coached me for cross country since seventh grade. She was always there for the team.
What does it mean to you to be nominated for this award?
In my opinion, in order for someone to receive the Athena Award, it means that person is talented, dedicated, hard working and a great role model. It would be a huge honor to receive this award and be part of that group.
