When and why did you start playing softball and hockey?

I started playing softball and hockey when I was in first grade. Even before that, I’d been skating for (a) long time, but I started because of my dad. He was a baseball and hockey player and a lot of my friends were starting to pick up softball so I just started playing too. Along the way, I decided that I really liked softball, and I decided to join a club that helped me improve.

Park’s school district is facing its third round of budget cuts in the last four years. As the prospect of the cut has sparked conversation throughout the community, Echo has sought administrative guidance in an attempt to create a factual and balanced piece. With the initial opening of Revival in 2021, Texa Tonka has started incorporating newer businesses, weeding out older, less favored places. Following an emphatic and emotional 4-1 win against St. Louis SC, Minnesota United is heading into the playoffs with some newfound energy. United, also referred to as the Loons, was able to celebrate Franco Fragopane’s last game as a Loon and Zarek Valentin’s retirement before the playoffs commence. Within the past few years, school districts have started including more and more religious holidays into scheduled days off of school, including Park. This year, the Jewish holiday Rosh Hashanah fell on Thursday, Oct. 3 and Friday, Oct. 4. Park scheduled that Thursday off, but still had classes in session on Friday. This has been a new topic of discussion considering only one day of the holiday is being acknowledged.

Every year, Park hosts a tenor-bass choir festival

Every year, Park hosts a tenor-bass choir festival with other schools. While the guest conductor of the festival changes, this year’s guest conductor was G. Phillip Shoultz III, who conducted this festival two-years-ago. This choir is open to 9th-12th grade tenor one, tenor two, baritone and bass-voiced students who are part of a choir in their own high school’s.
