Treasurer Maddie Lund

Sophomore Student Council treasurer Maddie Lund said Student Council’s goals are very broad.

“Student Council is a lot about school spirit, but it’s a lot about having the money to do things so I think it’s really important to have a lot of days during the school year where we can fundraise,” Lund said.

According to Lund, the council aims to take larger action in the school.

“My main goal is to see how the council can grow this next year and see what we can make of it and I think I would really like to see (Student Council) in a leading position in the school,” Lund said. “I am hoping this next year with the leadership that we have, we can get a lot done and follow through with a lot of our plans and i just want to be a part of that.”

Lund said she hopes to manage the council’s budget responsibly and help raise money for the council.

“I take care of all the money on Student Council so however much money we take in fundraising or from events that we have where you have to pay to get in I have to see that money and see what we can do with it,” Lund said.

According to Lindenberg, Lund’s experience as co-chair of the fundraising committee will help her as treasurer.

“She’s has been really involved in the itemizing of different budgets and bills and things that we have had and in that experience she’s been very successful with that so that will be useful and just have the energy is going to be fun,” Lindenberg said.
