Student Organization Against Racism

Student Organization Against Racism (SOAR), was started in 2014 after an organized student walkout following the non-indictment of policeman Darren Wilson.

The club’s adviser is Joy Esboldt, who works with students to reach goals focused around social justice.

Senior Willy Poulter said they have a specific goal this year.

“Our goal for this year would be continuing with the creation of a class on race in our school,” Poulter said.
