Cultivate is a free event that invites people to join Chipotle for music, food, and fun and a bit of education too.

The Chipotle Cultivate Festival offers a new perspective on food by leaving festival goers wanting to learn more about Chipotle’s mission to change the way people think about and eat fast food.

Chipotle public relations manager Danielle Winslow, said she is really excited about Cultivate returning to Minneapolis for a second year.

Additionally, new musical acts include Walk the Moon, Atlas Genius, and Misterwives and new chefs include Andrew Zimmern, Richard Blais and Jamie Malone, Winslow said.

According to Winslow the educational parts of the event are called “experiences”, with the hope that people walk away from Cultivate learning from something they never knew about food.

“One of our experiences is Guac from Scratch where people can watch how our guacamole is made using fresh, whole ingredients then taste the delicious result,” Winslow said.

According to Winslow, Cultivate is a great event for people of all ages and there is something for everyone at the event.

“During the day we see a lot of families come through who take advantage of the interactive Kids’ Zone. Older audiences enjoy chef demonstrations, great food and live music. There is simply something for everyone at Cultivate,” Winslow said.

The Cultivate Festival takes place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 22 at Loring Park in Minneapolis.
