As Dopeamine’s most recently added member junior Marco Giovennelli rehearses with his new bandmates, he said he remains impressed with the band’s focus on continuous improvement.

“I know I wasn’t with them, but last year (Dopeamine) had this show at The Depot and it wasn’t really good and they were not happy with that, so they want to make sure it’s really tight (this year),” Giovenelli said. “We (recently had) rehearsal and it sounded a lot tighter than I expected.”

According to the Depot Coffee House website, the bands Dopamine and Marmalade will feature in the “PUMPKIN NIGHT JAM” put on by the band Very Much Yes.

Senior band member Ben Romain said Dopamine will showcase new set tracks and clothing to keep their fans interested.

“We are going to have some new songs to show people. That’s going to be fun,” Romain said. “We usually do dress like something different for every show, so people can be expecting that.”

Romain said he enjoys performing at The Depot because the environment allows him to connect with his audience.

“I think The Depot is a really nice place. People like to go there,” Romain said. “I personally like how small it is because you get all the people together and close and just more energy there.”

According to junior performer Aidan Henry, who goes by the stage name ZAZ, his upcoming show with other acts Joe Holloway and KC Audio will feature unheard content.

“I’d say 75 percent of (the playlist) is new songs and there’s going to be a few unreleased songs that I’m going to perform,” Henry said.

Henry said his goal is to create an upbeat atmosphere and to attract a large number of fans.

“It’s going to be fun. We are trying to promote it so that it’s more of a party so that it’s not just like a regular concert,” Henry said. “The KC Audio guy from Edina has like 4.5 million views on Youtube, so it’s kind of a bigger show.”

According to the Depot Coffee House website, ZAZ will perform at 8 p.m. Sept. 22 and   Dopeamine will perform at 7 p.m. Sept. 23 at The Depot Coffee House on Excelsior Blvd.
