The final season of “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” was a shock to me. I have always loved the show and was sad to see it end. However, I was excited to see how the writers would finish the series off.

The fourth season begins with Sabrina (Kiernan Shipka) and all her witch friends getting a visit from one of the seven eldritch terrors, The Darkness. Then the rest of the story unfolds to reveal the remaining terrors, with lots of magic and mystical strong-minded leading characters. Sabrina and the rest of her witch friends and family, along with her mortal friends, join together to fight the evil that is headed towards their town.

This show has extremely powerful female leads. Sabrina and Prudence (Tati Gabrielle) are some of my favorite characters. I love that they are powerful and independent women and always tried and succeeded with solving problems on their own. I also really enjoyed the character Ambrose (Chance Perdomo), Sabrina’s cousin, especially his acting and how he always found answers to problems.

The way Sabrina and Prudence’s character relationship developed from the first season to the last was my favorite thing to watch throughout the series. Sabrina and Prudence went from enemies to friends throughout the course of the series and grew to trust one another and be confident in the end.

Something that did disappoint me is the way that it ended. It felt like the story was unfinished and the characters’ arcs weren’t complete. Other than that, I really enjoyed the show as it preaches self-confidence and being aware of your surroundings, and that is an important thing to be reminded of.

Before I even started this season, I knew I was going to like it. I have always been so fascinated with these types of magical shows and think this series is a great addition to the fantasy genre.
