With the season finale of “Ted Lasso” coming in the next few weeks, I thought I would give my review on the first few episodes of this new season. Having already loved “Ted Lasso” from the first two seasons, I was very excited for season three. If you have never seen this show, it follows an American coach named Ted Lasso (Jason Sudekis) who got a job at Richmond F.C, a soccer team in London, England. He knows nothing about soccer and has to adjust to his new life in England. “Ted Lasso” then turns into a heartwarming, funny and relatable show with it being much more than just about soccer.

In the first three episodes of the new season. It gives us more insight on how Richmond F.C are doing with the  dramatic events that happened at the end of season two. We see how moods are alternated due to what  happened with the main protagonist, Nathan Shelly (Nick Mohammed), who used to be an assistant coach for Richmond F.C, but his actions cause him to leave the club and join another team. Ted Lasso is keen to try and rekindle the relationship with Nathan. We see how these two characters move on in their clubs, and that’s the main focus in the first three episodes.

But again, these are just the three episodes —  it does start to expand more into the other main characters’ lives, and how they change over the period of the 12 episode season. I also hope to be able to see how the relationship changes between Nathan and Ted throughout the rest of this season.

The acting in this show is just amazing, and it gets even better in season three. You come to love these characters and how they act, and that’s due to the amazing writing of the show, and they became very relatable. Also, how they spread positive messages and lessons in the show makes it  really heartwarming.g It brings up ideas on how to be a better person and deals with mental health issues, which are just some of the ideas that are expanded and talked about in this show.

Overall, I really enjoyed these first few episodes, and am ready to binge the rest of this show. This is a fun, relatable and quality show that gives more than a story about soccer. This is the type of show that someone who has never seen soccer before or knows anything about it could fall in love with. The only issue I really have is that “Ted Lasso” only streams on Apple TV+, so this becomes restricted for some people to be able to watch it. I wish it was more accessible for more people to be able to watch it through other streaming platforms. With that being said I hope if you do have access to Apple TV+, I would highly recommend you watch “Ted Lasso.”
