Boys 2 men, a club devoted to developing high school boys ready for life after high school, will plan to re-convene in October.

Chris Weaver, staff leader of the all male group said this year the group has many goals such as taking more trips to other cities and expanding their community.

“We’re hoping of doing more trips to other communities hopefully because we want to expand, and also build more of a community,” Weaver said.

Weaver said that like every other year, the group is looking for more students who can assume a more responsible role in the group.

“We are looking for older student leaders that will step up this year and show their leadership in meetings and project work,” Weaver said.

Senior Kensel Clark is one of few returning members of the club.  He said the group is a great way to find help for everyday situations.

“[This group] is a way to find help, and help each other out, by opening up to everybody during meetings,” Clark said.

Clark also said this years group will be smaller than usual, but a smaller group will make for a more tight-knit group.

“I think the group is going to be much smaller, but I think that way there is a much more personal connection between people,” Clark said.

Weaver said fliers will be posted around the school for sophomore, junior and senior student males that are interested in joining the group.

Mr. Weaver’s classroom is located in the learning lab center, but the group will meet in c350.

Meetings will occur on Tuesdays during selected classes, every other week.  Their first meeting will be third hour, October 7.
