Local clinics provide students with flu shots

Central Clinic, with funding from Park Nicollet, is offering free flu vaccinations to all children ages 5-18 living in St. Louis Park from 2-6 p.m. today in the high school cafeteria.

High school students ages 14-18 may receive the vaccination provided they have completed parental consent forms, which can be found on the school district’s website or in the student office.

Sophomore Colin Monicatti said he thinks all students should get the shot, especially after the death of freshman Carly Christensen.

“Students cannot take the flu lightly, it can happen to anyone,” Monicatti said. “It can save a life, and a one time pain is definitely worth long-term protection.”
