King and queen nominees and members of the homecoming court lined up in rows, with each of the ladies and gentlemen wearing their best formal gowns and tuxedos, as seniors Noah Fortmeyer and Suh Koller were crowned the 2013 Homecoming King and Queen.

They were crowned 7:00 p.m. on Sept. 18 in the Auditorium during Coronation. As each of one the candidates and court members walked down the aisle and onto the stage, the audience heard their favorite quotes or memories of high school.

Fortmeyer said he is amazed and grateful to be elected as the 2013 Homecoming King.

“I feel very honored,” he said. “I would like to thank everyone who voted for me. It’s a really kind gesture to win.”

Similarly, Koller said she is taken aback by receiving this title.

“Going into this, I didn’t really care if I won or not,” she said. “I was honored to be even nominated in the first place. I’m very happy to win.”

Senior Charlie Houghton said he thinks the right students were chosen.

“They were the best candidates. They are both genuine and kind people who deserve to win this award.”
