The Southwest Light Rail Transit project office is opening a forum for the public to discuss the route, station designs and other details of the light rail as it moves forward.

Laura Baenen, communications manager for the light rail, said the open houses are intended to update and inform the public, while also hearing community members’ opinions.

“(The project office) will hold a series of public open houses to share information about station design with the public and receive feedback,” Baenen said.

Five meetings will take place in early April, each focusing on different areas of the city impacted by the light rail project. The St. Louis Park stations will be discussed at 5:30 p.m. April 8 at St. Louis Park City Hall.
