The annual Sno Daze dance has been postponed to a later date to be announced next week according to Principal Scott Meyers in a phone message.

“The Sno Daze dance scheduled for tonight, February 24, 2018 at the St. Louis Park High School has been postponed due to hazardous and severe weather conditions. Students will receive additional information about the rescheduled date during school announcements next week,” Meyers said in the recording.

Student Council president senior Sophie Yarosh said she feels the postponement will help ensure safety.

“It’s unfortunate, but in perspective of life, if it were to save an accident or keep something really tragic and bad from happening to a student or someone getting to the high school, then we would rather prevent that,” Yarosh said.

According to Student Council adviser Sarah Lindenberg, other factors were taken into consideration prior to the the decision for postponement.

“We feel badly that it had to be postponed, but it felt like the right decision based on what some other schools were doing with their events and just how certain the weather reports seem to be for right around that time frame,” Lindenberg said.
