According to district communications director Sara Thompson, St. Louis Park Public Schools will be closed Feb. 20. Students and staff should not report to the high school.

Thompson said the ACT test scheduled for juniors Feb. 20 will be postponed and administered on the designated make-up day March 12 at the high school.

According to Thompson, the decision was reached because of the heavy snowfall predicted in the metro area.

“Kids Place childcare, preschool and all daytime Community Education classes, programs and facility use is canceled,” Thompson said.

The high school athletic facilities will be open at 3 p.m. Feb. 20 for varsity practices, as well as for evening Community Education classes, according to Thompson.

The neighboring districts of Edina and Hopkins will also be closed Feb. 20 due to the impending snowstorm.

Echo will provide an update if more information becomes available.
