Opportunities arise to thank teachers, staff

Teacher Appreciation Week falls May 3-8

In the middle of school closures for COVID-19, teachers have had to adapt to unprecedented circumstances. During Teacher Appreciation Week May 3-8, there are multiple ways to thank teachers, according to an email sent by the Parent Engagement Committee.

“Stop by the high-school sometime during the week of May 3-8 and leave a note of “thank you” in chalk on the sidewalk. Decorate the sidewalks and walkways close to the main entrance on 33rd Street, or those in front of the entrance by student drop-off/pick-up door,” the email said.

Another option to thank teachers and staff is to email a picture with a “thank you” sign to [email protected] by May 1.
