Graduating from high school is an exciting and significant milestone for many students. It marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. It’s a time of celebration and reflection. One way to make graduation even more special is by decorating your graduation cap. Although, students at Park are not allowed to decorate their graduation caps. The teachers and staff cannot technically stop them from decorating their cap.

Decorating graduation caps is a fun way to stand out and make the graduation ceremony more memorable. It’s also an excellent way to celebrate your achievements and show off your creativity. You can use your cap to express your gratitude to your family and friends who supported you throughout your academic journey.

In addition to being a fun way to express yourself, decorating graduation caps is also a way to promote individuality and diversity. Each cap tells a unique story and represents a different experience. It’s a way to celebrate our differences and acknowledge that we all have something unique to offer.

Some people argue that decorating graduation caps is a distraction and takes away from the formality of the ceremony. However, I believe that decorating caps add to the celebration and makes it more personal. Graduation is a time of joy and celebration, and decorating your cap is an excellent way to express that.

Another argument against decorated graduation caps is that it’s disrespectful to the tradition and history of graduation ceremonies. However, traditions change over time. Today, graduation caps are worn to celebrate academic achievements and mark the end of a significant chapter in a student’s life. Some schools have strict rules about decorating graduation caps, and students are not allowed to decorate them.

However, I believe that schools should allow students to decorate their caps as long as the decorations are appropriate and respectful. Students should have the freedom to express themselves and celebrate their achievements in a way that feels meaningful to them.
