The boys’ tennis team played nonstop games this month to boost its chance of succeeding at the conference and sections games later in May.

The boys have had a total of nine matches so far, with a record of 3-5.

Senior captain Aaron Goodman said he feels confident about the team going far due to their continuous games and practices.

“Since we’ve been playing back to back games, especially this week, it’s been a good practice for us to play hard and continue to be focused throughout this hard couple of weeks,” Goodman said.

According to head coach Carey Hermanson the team is looking good this year.

“Every season is really good every year. Our singles this year have a good line up with strong players,” Hermanson said.

Goodman is the top scorer for the team and has a good chance of going to state this year. He is currently ranked undefeated with a personal record of 8-0.

“I’m really happy about how I’ve played this year, especially with my rank right now. Hopefully, I can keep it up and make it to state because that would be really cool going to state my senior year,” Goodman said.

Senior captain Nick Kjos said he is happy about the season’s outcome so far and is expecting the team to do well in the next matches.

“Our games have been overall really good. We’ve lost to some good teams but we have also been playing really strong throughout this season. Hopefully, we’ll win the next couples matches and be strong going into the end of the season,” Kjos said.
