Amira Warren-Yearby, Video Editor

Hey! My name is Amira a.k.a (mira, mir mir, afo, etc.) This will be my second year on Echo and I am so excited to be Videographer editor. Videographer editor is a new position, I hope to provide a variety of different videos (informational, relatable and possibly some comedic) and show the diversity at Park. I started broadcast work in Kindergarten, anchoring in the morning news show till the 6th grade. I am excited to expand my skills this year and double major in communications and journalism and film in college. When I’m not filming or editing videos for The Echo, I am also one of three senior reporters for Threesixty journalism, at the University of St. Thomas. I’m a St. Louis park parktacular ambassador. I participate Youth In Government , a member of Day One, Peer mentor for Project success, and I’m active in theatre at Park, College possible, and BSU (also known as the black history month show)  My hobbies include sleeping, watching cry-worthy teen dramas, singing, sleeping, playing piano, writing poetry/songs, and biking. My favorite food is baked mac and cheese (preferably made by my mom, grandma or whole foods) My all time favorite tv show series is Dawson’s creek (I could watch all five seasons again!) I love sunglasses and would have a collection but….. I broke most of them.
