Q: How long have you played volleyball?

A: I started playing in 6th grade.

Q: Why do you play volleyball?

A: I play because my older sister played and my dad wanted me to play. Once I started, I really liked it and kept playing.

Q: What position do you play and why?

A: I’m an outsider hitter. I started in the middle but my coach thought I was a more dynamic player so she moved me to the outside.

Q: What do you like about the high school team?

A: I love being with my classmates and playing in front of the home crowds.

Q: What do you do as a captain?

A: I’m a leader for the team. I set up captains practice and lead warm-ups.

Q: Why are you a captain?

A: I think I’m a good leader and I have a vision where I want the team to go.

Q: What are you most excited for this season?

A: I’m excited to get better as a team.

Q: What is a weakness for the team this season?

A: We get in our heads. Sometimes we don’t give ourselves enough credit and we have the ability to be great team.

Q: What is a strength?

A: We are a lot better than we were last year and we are all really committed to the sport.

Q: What is your goal for the season?

Q: How long have you played volleyball?

A: About 6 years.

Q: Why do you play volleyball?

A: It’s a fun team sport and you get to travel for tournaments with your friends.

Q: What position do you play and why?

A: I’m an outside hitter because I’m not tall enough to be a middle and you get more hitting opportunities on the right side.

Q: What do you like about the high school team?

A: It’s so fun and you work really hard. The rivalries between schools are cool because there isn’t really rivalries during club season.

Q: What do you do as a captain?

A: On the court, I need to be a leader for the team. If there’s a problem, I’m the one who addresses it to the coach. Kim and I represent the team.

Q: Why are you a captain?

A: I really like volleyball and I try to be a leader on the court. I think my energy helps me be a better leader.

Q: What are you most excited for this season?

A: I’m excited to play Benilde and Cooper.

Q: What is a weakness for the team this season?

A: We get in ruts when we are losing and it’s hard for us to shake that off.

Q: What is a strength?

A: We have a lot of personality and experience that makes playing volleyball fun and that’s what makes a good team.

Q: What is your goal for the season?

A: Our goal is to go to State this year.
