What is your fondest golf memory?

My favorite golf memory is shooting 74 for my career low at Rush Creek last season and beating BSM in the conference championship. They had a really good team, and it was a great feeling to help my team finally beat them and shoot one of the best rounds of my life.

What is your favorite course you have ever played?

I would have to say the Minikahda Club, because it is impeccably maintained and uses the some of highest quality sod in Minnesota.

How long have you been playing golf?

I’ve been playing it for a long time, since before I can remember. For all my life, I have enjoyed golf and wanted to keep getting better

How many season have you competed for the high school team?

I have been playing since seventh grade on the high school team, so this marks my sixth season of competition.

Why did you start playing golf initially?

My dad loves golf, and we would play together often when I was really young.

What are your plans for next fall?

I am attending Grand Canyon University down in Phoenix.

Will you continue to play golf?

Although I am not playing competitive college golf, I will certainly continue playing for enjoyment throughout my lifetime. One of the best things about golf is that it is common for people to continue playing into their adult years, and even continue to improve despite their often fading athleticism.

How have you benefited from your time as a member of the Park golf team?

Being on the high school team has really helped develop my leadership skills and temperament, both on and off the golf course. As a captain, the pressure to act as an example for younger golfers pressures me to keep my cool regardless of the round I am having.

What is the best piece of advice about golf you have ever received?

Have a positive attitude at all times. The game of golf is ruthless at times, and staying positive and grounded through the ups, and especially the downs, is the key to putting together a solid round.
