All worries of the outside world, gone. For the next hour, in this room everything is put into trying to get out. It is the place where relationships and teamwork are put to the test. It is the Escape MSP.

Escape MSP was created to increase physical activity while having fun at the same time according to co-owner Ryan Muhbauer

“We call this type of entertainment, immersive entertainment,” Muhbauer said. “One where you’re actually doing things, you’re active, you’re using your body and it’s very physical.”

Muhbauer said people have the opportunity to leave the world of technology and for sometime, just enjoy hanging out with the people around you.

“We think in today’s society it’s such a relief to just leave your cellphone behind and escape reality for just 60 minutes, and just worry about working with your friends and co-workers on getting a mission done. Something that maybe you see in the movies,” Muhbauer said.

The room is designed to build team-work and allow more communication between groups of people, according to Muhbauer.

“The room is done in such a way that it is a 50-step puzzle and there is really no way that just one person can go into the room and solve it in the 60 minutes,” Muhbauer said

Junior Peregrine Stephens said she would enjoy going because it’s exciting and would be fun to go with friends.

“It would have the feel of risk or excitement and maybe some discomfort. It would be fun to try and solve a puzzle with your friends,” Stephens said.

The Escape MSP has an option of two missions. One is the Mr. Dupree’s office and the other is the  James Bond mission. These missions are different in what they are doing, the back story and information.

“I think it’s different but I think it’s good for people to try something new,” Stephens said.
