“Spider Man: Across the Spider-Verse” just came out and it features an amazing soundtrack that plays throughout the movie. Metro Boomin created most of the songs on  the album because he’s the producer, but the album hase 13 songs featuring many artists.

The album starts off with “Annihilate,” a song featuring Swae Lee, Lil Wayne and Offset. This song grips my ears because of how powerful the music, vocals and lyrics are. When it was played in the movie, I was truly shook because of how well it goes with the scene.

Number two on the tracklist is “Am I Dreaming” featuring A$AP Rocky and Roisee. I was really swayed by the beginning of the song with the violin piece — it took all of my attention  and made me stop whatever I was doing. The message behind this song foreshadows what occurs in the movie, with lyrics saying “Am I dreaming, is there more like us? I feel beaten, but I can’t give up.”

Number three on the tracklist, “All The Way Live” features Future and Lil Uzi. I personally haven’t heard Lil Uzi and Future in a while, but them coming together and making a song for the movie really had me excited. The lyrics speak on the spidey senses that every Spider-Man has, and it is a really creative track.

Four on the tracklist, “Danger,” is made by Offset and JID. I believe this song specifically explains the first movie, “Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse” because of the lyrics. One of the recurring lyrics is, “Spider (Danger),” saying that being a Spider-Man will be dangerous, as it is shown d in the movie. Additionally, the emotions in each verse are incredibly  soulful.

Number five on the list is “Hummingbird.” The vocals of James Blake are so beautiful and emotional I can’t not love this song. The track samples Eddie Vedder’s “Tonight You Belong To Me.” The sampling of that song was sped up and remixed so it could be an opening for “Hummingbird.”

Metro Boomin is definitely one of the best producers out there in the music industry. He was the producer of the soundtrack for the previous Spider-Man movie, “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” so for him to do this movie too isn’t really surprising. Metro never disappoints with his tracks.

My all time favorite song of this whole album has to be “Annihilate” because of the lyrics, rapping and music — it’s just what caught my eyes and had me in a chokehold. Overall the songs are worth listening to.
