After graduating all but one member last year, the Architecture, Construction, and Engineering club hopes to rebuild for this year’s competition season.

With the Architecture, Construction and Engineering (ACE) club starting Oct. 6, adviser Al Wachutka said he is trying to recruit members to fill this year’s team.

“Right now we have one returning student because they were all seniors and they graduated last year. We have not had any sign ups or anything this year,” Wachutka said. “About a dozen (members) is good. That allows you to divide the kind of responsibilities of building a structure yet having enough to do, also.”

Senior Daniella Etzion, the sole returning member of ACE, said she encourages sophomores, juniors and seniors to join.

“Just join  it’s a lot of fun and you get free pizza,” Etzion said, “You never know what you’ll realize about yourself.”

Etzion said although no students have officially signed up for the club yet, there are several students who have shown interest.

“There are a bunch of new students that would like to be involved, especially in those in the engineering program. A lot are coming into the club,” Etzion said.

According to Wachutka, all sophomores, juniors and seniors who are interested in ACE are welcome to attend the meeting at 3:15 p.m. Oct. 6 in the art tech room.
