As students continue to prepare for the orchestra concert, excitement is growing according to Foner.

“I’m excited to perform with alumni as well as get a chance to see them again,” Foner said.

Students have been rehearsing special music selections for the past several months in preparation for the performance.

Orchestra director, Miriam Edgar, said she is surprised by the amount of response she has been receiving from past graduates and expect a great turnout this year.

“As of now we have 14 alumni scheduled to attend the concert, but I get messages every day from alumni wanting to attend. I am thrilled that so many alumni want to attend,” Edgar said.

Alumni have the option to perform on stage with the students or observe the concert in the audience, Edgar said.

“I send the alumni the music in advance to prepare for the concert,” Edgar said.

The alumni concert will be at 7 p.m. Dec. 18 in the High School Auditorium.
