Senior Connor Williams said he left the spring play informational meeting with excitement and sorrow after realizing it was going to be his final high school production.

During the meeting Feb. 29, director Jodi Hatzenbeller said she discussed how to audition and basic details about the play “12 Angry Jurors”.

“I always give an overview of the show and in this case talk about how we are gonna do it differently from the original script, and led people on how to audition and how to sign up for crew,” Hatzenbeller said.

Hatzenbeller said the audition process consists of a short monologue in front of peers where the students who move on are called back the following day for further auditions.

“Our first round is doing monologues in groups of 10 and they just perform their monologue in front of the group and they are dismissed for the day,” Hatzenbeller said. “I call back the people I thought did the best and then I have them do additional scenes the next day.”

Williams said he believes the auditions will not be difficult because they are similar to previous auditions.

“I think the auditions will be fine. It’s a pretty standard time frame,” Williams said.

Auditions will be held after school March 2 in the auditorium and callbacks will take place March 3.
