Junior captain Anya Lindell Paulson said the team anticipates tough competition for the Sections games.

According to Lindell Paulson, the team is doing a good job on its overall team defense.

“We’ve been doing really well this season and really working hard in practice to prepare for some big games in the future,” Lindell Paulson said.

Lindell Paulson said the team focuses heavily on its offense for the upcoming Sections game.

“We have good defense at the moment so we are currently working on our offense,” Lindell Paulson said. “That way we can start scoring more points to even it out.”

According to head coach Bobby Crumpton, the team practices bunting and other new skills to add to the team’s strategy.

“I think the game will be an exciting and fun challenge,” Crumpton said.

Lindell Paulson said the team works on anticipating pitches to be more prepared when it swings.

“We have to work on knowing what pitch will likely be thrown and where because that’ll make it easier to hit better and more consistently,” Lindell Paulson said.

Senior captain Mackenzie Evenson said she’s concentrated on bringing the team together for the Sections games.

“I’ve been focusing on how we can get better together as a whole rather than just focusing on bettering myself,” Evenson said.

The first Sections game takes place at 4:30 p.m. May 24 at Pamela Park against Wayzata High School.
