According to coach Wyatt Scheu, Two Rivers put up a good fight even after giving up two sets in the first half of the game. Scheu said the team had a great mind set throughout the game, which made the game more competitive.
“They’re a scrappy team,” Scheu said. “They bounced back from mistakes, and it can be really easy after going down 2-0 to sit back and almost want to be done and move on to the next game, but they made that third set really tough.”
Senior Amara Schroeder said breaking the all-time record of assists and service aces at Park this season reflects all the time she’s dedicated to volleyball.
“It feels really good. I feel like it really shows how much work I’ve put in. It’s pretty validating for me,” Schroeder said.

According to Schroeder, Two Rivers had a good-quality defense, which she respected. She said when they could hit back and forth, it was an enjoyable game.
“They’re a good defensive team, and they got a lot of our hits up. It was fun to rally back and forth,” Schroeder said.
Carlson said she hopes to improve in-game communication for future games to make it easier for her teammates to succeed.
“I would like to improve on communicating more on service receive, calling in or out on serve receive for my teammates, and just talking more on the court,” Carlson said.
Schue said the team is aiming high for the conference title. He said he is confident in the team’s ability to end the season on a positive note.
“We’re shooting for the moon. The conference title is still out there, and that’s something that we want to achieve,” Schue said. “Obviously beyond that we want to be section champions.”
