What motivated you to start playing football?
I have loved football since I was a kid. I have always watched it and supported the Vikings. At first, I just wanted to try (football) out, but I have really grown to love it.
When did you start playing football?
I started playing flag football many years ago but did not pick up tackle until a few years ago. I started playing tackle football (in) my freshman year of high school when I put on my first set of pads.
What is your best memory from the 2024-2025 season so far?
The best memory for me was against (Bloomington) Jefferson when I scored two touchdowns. That was by far my favorite memory—it was very fun just celebrating with the team after the win.
What is your pre-game routine?
Pretty much everything that the team does. We do a light lift, and then we have dinner. After that, I just lock in at that point in preparation for the game. I usually have an energy drink and some ibuprofen to get my body ready.
What is your goal for the rest of the football season?
I want (Park) to be successful, I want us to win the section. There are a couple of tough teams in (our section), so it will be difficult.
What is your favorite pro football team?
My favorite team is the Vikings because I have grown up watching them, and my family are Vikings fans. I have always loved them, I have always watched them, but they have given me some tough times. My favorite football player right now is Justin Jefferson because he is an amazing player on the field.
What is some advice for younger players striving for greatness?
I would have to say to work hard early—don’t start working late in your career. Put in work and get better early on when you start playing so that development happens, and you keep going with that.
What is the best piece of advice ever given to you?
Don’t stop playing (football), keep playing football and keep trying to get better.
