Team believes it can build on early losses
After a slow start to the season, the girls’ varsity soccer team hopes to improve. They currently have a record of 3-5-1.
Senior captain Lauren Miller said she thinks one problem the team has is low morale.
“I think we need to work on just believing that we can win, and staying positive to finish out the season strong,” Miller said.
Junior Lauren McManus said she is confident in the team’s ability to build upon its current record.
“We’ve done well so far, even if our game results don’t show it,” McManus said. “We’ve been practicing and playing hard, and we’ve improved a lot since our first game.”
The girls’ varsity soccer team will next face Irondale at 5 p.m. Sept. 20 at Irondale, a team they tied last season.
