When did you start playing hockey?
I started playing hockey when I was six years old.
Has hockey always been your favorite sport?
Yes, I have always loved hockey and preferred it over any other sport. I have tried a couple of other sports but hockey has always been my favorite.
Who has been a big inspiration for you through your hockey career?
My trainer and friend Cody Hotshkin has pushed me to be the best hockey player I can be and has taught me a lot. He has been training me for the past couple of years and I credit him for a lot of (my) success.
What was the signing process like for you?
I had multiple offers to go play junior hockey but the place I felt most at home was Northeast Generals. I am very excited to join the squad.
Did you always know you wanted to play hockey after high school?
Yes I have always had a strong passion for hockey and I have always known hockey is what I want to do and play (for) as long as I can.
Do you have any superstitions you do before games?
Get to the game two hours early so I can get my own warmup in and so I can lock in before the rest of the team gets there.
What’s the best advice you have received?
Have no regrets and be your best self—don’t hang on the small things, there is always another practice or another game so just play with confidence and don’t live off the bad things.
What is some advice you would give an underclassman?
Take what’s given and not take any moment for granted because it goes by quickly and you never know when it could be your last time on the ice.
