Senior Amira Stone hopes a new school year will bring new perspectives to Israel Advocacy Club.

“This year we are trying to get a different audience because it’s basically all Jews who come in, so for the most part people who have similar beliefs so we are hoping to get speakers who might interest a wider range who people with different perspectives,” Stone said.

According to club adviser Jeffrey Cohen, Israel Advocacy Club is an open forum to discuss anything in relation to the country of Israel.

“They bring in various guests and the purpose of the club is to discuss and debate current issues about Israel’s place in the world and how the US can advocate for a safer peaceful middle-east, and protect the interests of Israel,” Cohen said. “It can be about any group or person with their relation to Israel.”

Cohen said the group generally meets in C365.
