Robotics
When asked Junior George Hare said his appreciation for the various topics within Robotics keeps him in the club.
“(There are) a couple different wings of Robotics,” Hare said “There’s the business team, the build team, the programming team, and others. The opportunities are great you get to work with expensive tools and with leading business’ in engineering. Those are experiences that you can’t find anywhere else it.”
Club adviser Trevor Paulson the club will begin with simple activities until it’s time to actually make the robot.
“We meet once a week from the beginning of school on Tuesdays. First meetings things will be on team building, learning how to build a robot and safety. Then at kick off we get our goal and our set of parts to build.”
Paulson said the gives many great benefits due to the different facets.
“Because it’s so broad there’s many chances to learn different skills and understand new things. And it really looks good on college and job applications. It’s overall a very welcoming community.”
