When Deca adviser Sophia Ross noticed the majority of students were not informed when the Storiole had deals, she decided to run a promotion.

Ross said students who follow the Storiole on Twitter or Instagram can receive free popcorn every Friday.

“I think the smell of the popcorn lures people in the store. It’s great to hear all of the positive comments from students about our products,” Ross said.

Storiole manager senior Noah Smith said the Storiole began advertising the popcorn so students would have a better understanding of the merchandise in the school store.

“We are having this promotion to have people follow our accounts and see what we have in the school store,” Smith said. “Often times a lot of the options in the store are overlooked and we want students to see what they’re missing out on.”

Storiole social media manager senior Ian Juaire said he hopes to increase the number of Storiole followers on Twitter and Instagram and eventually use Snapchat.

“On Twitscreen-shot-2016-10-26-at-9-39-57-pmter we have 19 (followers) and on Instagram we have 88 (followers) and our goal is as much as we can,” Juaire said. “We’re considering implementing Snapchat once we have a solid base of followers.”

Juaire said he encourages students to take part in the promotion to show school spirit and to become informed about new deals occurring at the Storiole.

“I feel like not a lot of students know about the store so it’s a great way to stay notified on our promos and how you can support the school showing off your pride,” Juaire said,

The Storiole is open during first hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays and during fifth hour.
