With the regional competition right around the corner, Science Olympiad continues to practice and prepare.

Sat. Feb. 14 Wayzata High School will host Science Olympiad teams from all over the metro area for the annual regional competition and St. Louis Park will have two teams attending. Everyone is very excited for the competition especially adviser Jenny Magdal.

“I am so excited to see how everyones hard work pays off and how they match up to the other teams,” Magdal said.

Although the teams have been preparing for their events all year, there will still be some difficult competition according Magdal.

“We are going against some really tough teams and some schools that have three, four, or five teams. It becomes tough competition when the school has more than two teams,” Magdal said.

Despite the tough competition, members of Science Olympiad are still looking forward to Feb. 14. Junior Mack Trotter is among the members who are excited.

“I am looking forward to put the skills that I have learned to use. Even though we are not the best compared to other schools, Park is still pretty knowledgeable when it comes to science,” Trotter said.
