“Latinidad,” a show presented by Mixed Blood Theater, will expose Spanish students to Latino culture in an environment away from school, according to Spanish teacher Jane Hudacek.

Hudacek said the show includes six skits that offer insight into different Latino perspectives.

“‘Latinidad’ is a show that is related to the Latin experience or Latino experience in the United States particularly,” Hudacek said. “The show is a series of six skits essentially, written by different artists, so different producers, different playwrights, and talking about their particular experience. The unifying theme is Latino, being Latinidad, what it means to be Latino, but also music.”

Junior Anya Lindell Paulson, who will attend the show, said cultural experiences can open students up to different viewpoints.

“Just helping students develop their global understanding,” Lindell Paulson said.

Hudacek said the show intends to engage the audience through an interactive experience.

“They have removed the seats, the chairs so that the audience can be really active and dance with the music,” Hudacek said.

Lindell Paulson said students should care about the field trip to gain aspanish-field-tripn understanding of the world.

“I think (students) should care about this because people s
hould really know how the world works and not just how
our country works,” Lindell
Paulson said.

The show will begin at 10 a.m. March 18 at Mixed Blood Theater in Minneapolis.
