Taeyang released another beautiful album titled “Down To Earth” on April 25. It’s composed of six songs, two of which feature some of the most well known K-pop singers: Lisa of BLACKPINK and Jimin of BTS. It’s been nine years since his most recent album and he did not come to play.

Starting off with number one on the tracklist, “VIBE.” I can’t get over the overall vibes with this song, it feels like I’m in the summer of 2022 again. This song features Jimin of BTS even though BTS is currently on a hiatus because they need to do their mandatory military service. So far most of the singers are each focusing on their own solos. I liked the song mainly because Jimin made a comeback but also because their vocals are absolutely beautiful.

Number two on the tracklist is “Shoong!” This song is the most popular on the album, mainly because it features Lisa of BLACKPINK. She really went off with her part of the song because of how catchy her verse is. As a whole, this song is really something you simply can’t forget because of how Lisa’s part was like being caught in a bind.

Number three on the tracklist is “Seed.” The way he always sings like he’s doing it for someone he’s in love with is something I like about him. This song is so romantic because of the way the piano and his voice are perfectly matched with each other.

Number four on the tracklist is “Reason.” Taeyang’s vocals are truly mesmerizing and so satisfying. This song is definitely one you would play when you’re on a date because of how soothing the music is — when the saxophone comes in when there’s a break between his singing is something I love. I feel like it was pretty expected, since on social media Taeyang is known as someone who’s a smooth-talker.

Number five on the tracklist, “Inspiration,” is so upbeat and cheery. Taeyang seems genuinely happy while singing, and it makes me feel happy as well. The music is really giddy and makes the audience all smiley for sure because of the beats and music.

Last but not least on the tracklist, “Nightfall,” is beautifully sung, and the way Taeyang hit a perfect high note truly had me in shock. He put all of his sweat, blood and tears into this album by ending with a song like “Nightfall.” He truly never disappoints when it comes to his fans.

Overall, “Down to Earth” is perfect with the vibes of songs from summer, to romantic and jazzy  feelings. I really recommend for those who don’t know of Taeyang to listen to his music, especially this album.
