How did it feel doing the podcast?

“I was really excited for it. I thought it would be a great opportunity. When I got there it was very natural. I’m already pretty good at speaking so I didn’t feel awkward, the superintendent made me very comfortable and it just felt like we’re having a conversation.”

What did you enjoy most about your time on the podcast?

“I enjoyed the opportunity to share my opinion on such a large stage. That opportunity is rare for a student to get. I’m not unappreciative, I’m very appreciative of the fact that I was one of the students to be able to get that.”

If you were offered to join again would you come back?

“I absolutely would. Being an alumni guest that sounds interesting. Again, the platform to share my ideas is always welcome. I have plenty more that I was able to share during that time.”

What did you get out of the podcast?

“A lot of the thoughts I put together on the podcast were more loose ideas before they were spoken into existence then. It is a good way to really organize my thoughts and the way I felt about Park and the school district.”

What was the idea behind coming onto the podcast?

“I wanted to make sure that a certain group of students was well represented and I thought that would be one of the best opportunities I would ever have to do so.”

What did you learn from this experience?

“It helped me learn to really embrace the spotlight a little more and be more open to opportunities to speak where other people can listen.”
