Library media specialist Ellen George who is very intriguing and one of the most open-minded staff here at Park said she her role is quite interesting

“It’s a job where you’re doing so many different things everyday that no day is like the next day and what’s interesting is all the different things you do to help people. Frankly librarians like helping people and love finding information and sharing information and so there’s an infinite variety of that here,” George said.

George said she always wanted the job she has now and enjoys being around students and helping them find things around the building.

“Being a librarian was one of my dreams when I was young. This is a job I always wanted to do,” George said. “I love being in libraries, I like being around books, I like helping people find books to read just for fun or for an informational need,”

English teacher Lindsey Meyer said George has offered to help find materials she needs for her English classes.

“(George) is so passionate about books just like I am and whenever there is a book that I want a student to have or whenever there is a book I really want to teach she will do everything in her power to make it happen and no request is ever too big,” Meyer said

Senior Caroline Garland said George had helped her feel more comfortable at school has been a great person to go to.

teacher assistant in her fifth hour it feels kinda like a home base in school which is really nice,” Garland said.“She knows about a lot of things concerning high school because she’s been here for a very long time,”

George is a librarian at park but also a person of comfort and Meyer said George has been there for her and helped her feel that comfort.

(George) has been supportive of me and been there for me when I’m having a hard time so I would say that she has helped me find things in the building like our new book checkout system but mostly just being a support for me at the beginning of teaching here,” Meyer said.
